This study was motivated by the importance of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in shaping students' understanding and character through emulating Islamic historical values. However, student achievement is often influenced by affective factors, particularly learning interest, which determines their involvement in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student interest in SKI, measure their learning achievement, and analyze the relationship between the two. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive method, involving 263 students from MAN Kotabaru as samples. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation of achievement scores, then analyzed using the product moment correlation technique. The results showed that students' interest in SKI was in the high category, with average learning achievement also in the high category. Correlation analysis found a strong and significant relationship between interest and learning achievement, meaning that the higher the students' interest, the better their academic achievement. In conclusion, learning interest proved to play an important role in improving SKI achievement, so teachers need to design learning strategies that can maintain and increase student interest. This study provides theoretical implications for the development of Islamic education studies as well as practical implications for improving learning methods in madrasahs.
Herni Aliska

The topic of funeral management skills is an integral component of the 2013 Curriculum at the Madrasah Aliyah level, serving to instill religious values and practical Islamic competencies in students. This study aims to analyze the use of learning media and identify both primary and supplementary learning resources employed in the teaching process of these religious skills at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum Kotabaru. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The findings reveal that audio-visual media are the most frequently utilized instructional tools, as they combine visual and auditory information, thereby enhancing students’ understanding of the procedures and stages of funeral rites. The primary learning resource used is the 2013 Curriculum textbook, while the supplementary resources include various classical and modern fiqh books such as Fathul Mu’in, Fathul Qarib, Fiqhus Sunnah, and Fiqh Risalah Pelajaran Tangga Ibadah. These sources are employed by teachers to broaden students’ knowledge and deepen their religious understanding. The study concludes that a combination of audio-visual media and diverse learning resources plays a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of religious skill learning in madrasahs, particularly in developing students’ practical abilities and religious attitudes.
BahrudinHilal Solikin
